I struggled with Bible study too...
Hi! My name is Alicia Bowyer. I've been a born-again believer and Jesus follower for over 40 years.
Like many women, I struggled with finding time to study the Bible. In fact, it took me well over 40 years to read through the entire Bible once!
And while reading through that enormous book, I often wondered if I was accurately observing, interpreting, and applying what I read.
Years ago, out of the need to keep myself more accountable, I built a website called Christian Women's Corner so I could attract attention to the difficulties many women have while studying the Bible.
I also started a few free online Bible study groups on a popular social media platform using methods and materials supplied by other online Bible study groups.
Week after week, year after year, I have consistently provided a space for teaching women how to study the Bible, providing Bible study materials, praying together, and experiencing accountability and encouragement.
The result has been no less than completely amazing. My website has gained in popularity and between both online Bible study groups, we have grown in number up into the thousands over the years. The need is great, and the harvest is plentiful.
I still run my website and those free Bible studies, but I felt like our online groups needed more...
That's why I decided to create the Christian Women's Corner community called: CWC Club
We needed a more permanent home with a more organized way to deliver Bible study materials and keep track of conversations happening within the groups.
Some women stay completely off social media. How was I going to reach them?
I also wanted to start doing something that many free online Bible studies don't do consistently. Provide private, live weekly video calls where we could see each other's faces, talk to one another, and have fellowship together while studying the word of God.
And most importantly, God was calling me to start teaching a more in-depth way of studying the Bible and to start writing my own Bible studies instead of using other people's study methods and materials, taking into consideration both a lack of time and understanding that many women have when it comes to studying the Bible.

Weekly Live Online Bible Study Meetings
What makes a community thrive and grow closer together? Seeing each other face-to-face, of course!
We will meet privately once a week on the Zoom platform and be able to share what we studied and learned throughout the week. The live meetings will include:

What makes this community different from other Bible study groups?
This is a great question! Most Bible studies are fill-in-the-blank or offer questions that lead you to the answer and are entirely based on other people's commentary.
We teach you a hybrid model that includes the inductive Bible study method along with help from reputable Bible commentaries and/or study Bibles. Inductive Bible study isn't a new method and has been around for years. It teaches you how to study the Bible on your own, so you don't need to rely on others to guide you. This is a powerful tool you need that will allow you to study and understand God's word so you won't have to rely on other people to tell you what the Bible says. BUT, checking your work, and getting help from other trusted commentators and study Bibles never hurts.
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and concerned I won't have time for this group. Are you sure I can do this?
Yes! You can do this. The CWC Club is very flexible and can be modified to fit your schedule. If you have 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week, you have enough time.

Not at all! When I write my Bible studies and plan the Zoom calls, I keep in mind that some women in the community have never read or studied the Bible before. I make every effort to keep my Bible study materials and methods accessible for both new and seasoned Bible students alike.
